It talks about how much trash we generate, what types of each kind we make, where it all goes, how things get recycled, problems with plastic in the Ocean and what sorts of new and innovative technologies people are coming up with in order to address some of the garbage problems. Two misconceptions of the film are that all landfills generate energy by producing methane gas, a greenhouse gas, less than 3% in the US are doing this. Also they talk about how incinerators can scrub all pollutants out of the air, which is not true.
